Building a Blog has never been as easy as it is today. With applications like Wordpress you can have your Blog online in no time. You don’t have to hire a coder like in the old days. Now your hardest decision is what template to choose.
Even though is has become a lot easier many people find that once they build a Blog no one ever comes to it. I mean, they set up a ping list, added it to a few social bookmarking sites, got some backlinks and put links on Digg but they find that through all of their efforts, they still have very few visitors. Now that you have your Wordpress blog up and running it is time to do some search engine optimization. To do this I want to start with some settings located in your Wordpress admin area. After changing a few settings I will introduce you to a plugin and how to activate the plugin. After that I will talk about downloading a new plugin that will require uploading to your blog. The downloading and uploading discussion will touch on using two methods: an FTP client, or a website host. Once you really start scaling out your new internet marketing empire, one of the first major obstacles you are going to have to cross is what I refer to as the “Content Crisis”. Everyone that I know, without fail who has built a successful series of small niche sites has at one time or another had to stretch a bit to add new, informative and entertaining bit of information to their website or blog.
